 Direct bonded magnesium-chromium brick is a kind of high-performance refractory material made of high-purity electrofused magnesia (MgO) and chromite (Cr₂O₃) as the main raw materials through high-temperature sintering process. Its core feature is the direct combination of magnesia and chromite, forming a solid MgO-Cr₂O₃ solid solution structure, avoiding the problem of strength degradation caused by low melting point impurities (such as CaO, SiO₂) in the traditional magnesia-chromium bricks.

        The introduction of Cr₂O₃ forms a dense oxide layer, which effectively resists the chemical erosion of molten sulfides (e.g., Cu₂S) and alkaline slag in the copper smelting process.
        Strong resistance to penetration prevents molten slag from penetrating into the interior of the brick body and causing structural damage.


3. High strength and abrasion resistance
        High density (bulk density ≥2.9g/cm³) and low porosity (<18%), maintaining structural stability under high temperature and pressure.
        It is suitable for copper reflector furnace vaults, furnace walls and other key parts that are susceptible to mechanical scouring and chemical corrosion.


4. Environmental protection and long life
        Reduce the risk of hexavalent chromium (Cr⁶⁺) generation in high temperature use by optimizing the formulation (e.g., reducing the free Cr₂O₃ content), which is in line with environmental protection requirements.
        Typical service life is up to 12-18 months (about 8-12 months for conventional magnesium-chromium bricks).
