Corundum refractory castable is a high‑performance monolithic refractory material prepared with high‑purity corundum as the main aggregate and fine‑powder phase, together with a well‑matched binder system and functional admixtures.Through precise aggregate grading design and optimized fine‑powder gradient filling, a dense and uniform microstructure can be formed inside the material, which delivers excellent construction rheological property and controllability in operation.During construction, after mixing with water per the specified proportion, the material can be cast‑formed and compacted by layered vibration. It is flexibly applicable for constructing special‑shaped linings of industrial thermal equipment under complex working conditions. The cured material features seamless monolithic structure with good structural integrity and dimensional stability, enabling rapid installation of refractory protective linings for high‑temperature service conditions.

Thanks to its excellent thermal‑shock resistance, it greatly reduces risks of early failures such as cracking and spalling.Benefiting from densified microstructure design, it exhibits superior mechanical strength both at room temperature and high temperature with prominent wear resistance. It can steadily withstand erosion‑abrasion induced by high‑velocity gas flow carrying solid particles, so as to effectively extend the service life of equipment linings.It also possesses favorable chemical stability, which provides effective resistance against erosion and penetration from molten metals, metallurgical slags and partial acidic‑alkaline corrosive media, ensuring long‑term structural integrity and service safety of equipment linings.

 

Product Applications

 

It is widely applied for lining construction of key thermal equipment in core high‑temperature industrial sectors including iron & steel, non‑ferrous metallurgy, glass, cement and power generation.In the iron and steel industry, it is suitable for lining installation of critical thermal zones such as blast furnace hearth, converter linings, furnace top and side walls of reheating furnaces.In power and building‑material industries, it serves as lining protection for harsh high‑temperature areas, e.g. furnace chamber of circulating fluidized‑bed boilers, sintering zone of cement rotary kilns and regenerator chambers of glass furnaces.Meanwhile, it meets protection requirements for heavily eroded and corroded key parts including inner walls of high‑temperature reactors, metallurgical coal injection pipes, iron tap‑holes and steel tapping runners. It can also be used as special repair material for damaged sections of various industrial kilns after long‑time operation, enabling rapid restoration of refractory protection performance for equipment.
