Classification by Product Structure and Performance

(I) Classification by Forming Process

 Cast Precast Parts

Made from refractory castables through mould casting, vibration forming, curing, and high-temperature firing, these are the most widely used type of precast components. They feature high density, high strength, and stable performance, and can be manufactured into various complex shapes to meet installation requirements of different furnace and kiln parts, such as slag weirs and nozzle precast blocks.

 Rammed Precast Parts

Produced from refractory ramming mixes through manual or mechanical ramming, followed by curing and firing. These products emphasize excellent wear resistance and erosion resistance. They are mainly used in severely worn areas such as furnace bottoms, iron troughs, and launders, for example blast furnace trough precast parts and launder liner precast parts.

 Unfired Precast Parts

Manufactured without high-temperature firing, using only proportioning, forming, and natural or low-temperature curing. They offer advantages of energy savings, high efficiency, and low cost. They are suitable for medium- and low-temperature conditions or auxiliary components, such as insulating lining precast parts and auxiliary flue precast parts.

(II) Classification by Material

 High-Alumina Refractory Precast Parts

Made primarily from high-alumina bauxite with an Al₂O₃ content ≥60%. They offer good high-temperature resistance, thermal shock resistance, and erosion resistance. They are widely used in medium- and high-temperature applications in metallurgy, building materials, and chemical industries, making them the most commonly used material type.

 Corundum Refractory Precast Parts

Based on corundum as the main raw material, with an Al₂O₃ content ≥90%. They provide outstanding high-temperature resistance, slag erosion resistance, and high strength. They are mainly used in severe high-temperature and strong erosion conditions such as steel ladles, glass melting furnaces, and chemical reaction furnaces, serving as a core material for high-end refractory precast components.

 Magnesia-Alumina Refractory Precast Parts

Composed mainly of magnesia and high-alumina materials, combining the slag resistance of magnesia-based materials with the thermal shock resistance of alumina-based materials. They are mainly used in converters, steel ladles, cement kilns, and similar applications, performing well in environments with molten slag, molten iron, and high-temperature flue gas.

Silicon Carbide (SiC) Refractory Precast Parts

Using silicon carbide as the main raw material, these products offer excellent wear resistance, high-temperature resistance, and high thermal conductivity. They are mainly applied to high-temperature and high-wear areas such as furnace bottoms, iron troughs, and burner nozzles.

 Insulating Refractory Precast Parts

Made from lightweight refractory materials (such as floating beads and ceramic granules), these products have low bulk density and low thermal conductivity. They are mainly used in furnace insulation layers and flue insulation linings to improve energy efficiency and reduce heat loss.

(III) Classification by Functional Characteristics

 Wear-Resistant Precast Parts

Designed for high wear and erosion resistance, made from high-hardness materials such as silicon carbide and corundum. They are mainly used in severely worn components including iron troughs, launders, and grate bars.

 Erosion-Resistant Precast Parts

Designed for resistance to erosion from molten slag, molten iron, and acidic or alkaline media, using highly erosion-resistant raw materials such as magnesia and corundum. They are mainly applied in steel ladles, converters, glass melting furnaces, and similar equipment.

 Insulating Precast Parts

Primarily composed of lightweight insulating materials, these components focus on thermal insulation performance. They are used in furnace insulation layers and flue linings to reduce energy consumption.

 Composite Precast Parts

These combine multiple properties such as wear resistance + erosion resistance or thermal insulation + thermal shock resistance, making them suitable for complex working conditions. Typical examples include cement kiln inlet precast parts, which combine wear resistance, erosion resistance, and thermal shock resistance.
