I. Furnace top part

III. Slag line parts

 

The slag line is between the furnace wall and the melt pool. During the steel making process, after the steel melting, the lower part of the slag line of the furnace wall is in the erosion of high temperature steel slag for a long time. Physical penetration and chemical erosion of steel slag, as well as through the flow of steel slag, the scouring of molten steel and air oxidation, resulting in the formation of deep concave grooves in this part of the refractory material ahead of other parts.

 

IV. Molten pool part

 

The melt pool is located between the slag line and the bottom of the furnace. In the electric arc furnace steelmaking process, it is mainly used to store molten steel. By the physical penetration and chemical erosion of steel and slag, as well as through the flow of steel slag, steel scouring effect, each part of the erosion is relatively uniform.

 

V. Bottom part of the furnace

VII. Steel outlet area
