Description
Ceramic Foam Filter is open-cell porous ceramic product, normally made of alumina, zirconia or silicon carbide. It features uniform three‑dimensional pore structure, high temperature resistance, good thermal shock resistance and stable chemical inertia. It is placed in gating system for molten steel, molten aluminium and alloy casting. It traps non-metallic inclusions, slag particles and impurities, smooths melt flow and reduces casting defects. It improves finished casting quality. It is widely used for steelmaking, aluminum alloy casting and precision casting. Custom pore size and dimensions are available.
