This enterprise uses reflector furnace to extract lead from used lead-acid batteries, and our company has designed a reliable application program for refractory products in combination with the actual use of reflector furnace:

Firstly, the ions of magnesium, calcium and sodium in the salt solution can interact with the chromium oxide and magnesium-aluminum spinel in the magnesium-chromium brick to form new compounds. These compounds have a high melting point and good anti-slagging performance, which can effectively prevent the formation of slagging on the surface of magnesium-chromium bricks.

Secondly, the ions in the salt solution are also able to fill the micropores and cracks inside the magnesium-chromium bricks, increasing the denseness and compactness of the material, thus improving the corrosion resistance.

In addition, the salt-impregnated treatment also enables the magnesium-chromium bricks to form a dense chromium oxide layer on the surface, which further improves the corrosion resistance of the material.

The upper part of the furnace wall (above the liquid level) is made of directly bonded magnesium-chromium bricks. Directly bonded magnesium-chromium bricks are more cost-effective and can meet the service life synchronized with that of the electrofused, semi-reconducted magnesium-chromium bricks used in the lower part of the reflector furnace.

The roof and external walls of the furnace are made of special high alumina bricks, which can also withstand the high temperatures of the reflector furnace and can be reused many times due to the advantages of high density and high strength of the special high alumina bricks.
