Semi-silica Brick
Our Semi-silica Brick is a semi-acidic aluminosilicate refractory, produced from quartz sand and refractory clay. The expansion of quartz offsets the sintering shrinkage of clay, delivering minimal volume change at high temperature and reliable masonry tightness. It shows better thermal shock resistance than silica brick and good corrosion resistance to acid slag. Its refractoriness reaches 1630–1670℃. It is commonly applied in coke ovens, molten ladle linings, furnace flues, gas generators and heating furnaces. Custom sizes and special shapes are available upon request.
