Magnesia‑chrome gunning mix is an alkaline monolithic refractory and belongs to wet gunning material. It is sprayed at high speed by gunning equipment and rapidly adheres and shapes on the lining substrate. No formwork is required on site, enabling fast construction. After curing and baking, a refractory lining composed of periclase‑magnesiochromite spinel is formed. It is applied for new lining installation or rapid repair of areas subjected to corrosion by high‑temperature strongly alkaline molten slag.
