Dry material for tundish is a magnesia dry unshaped refractory. It uses magnesia or magnesia-alumina spinel as main raw materials, together with high-temperature binders and functional additives. It is compacted by ramming or vibration. A firm working layer will be formed after baking. It features no water absorption, good resistance to molten steel penetration and slag erosion, excellent thermal shock stability, easy stripping and quick tundish turnover. Typical chemical composition: MgO 82%～90%. It is mainly used for the working lining of continuous casting tundishes. Typical physical indexes: bulk density ≥2.70 g/cm³, cold crushing strength ≥32 MPa.
