Pitch Impregnated Doloma Brick is sintered doloma brick vacuum impregnated with coal tar pitch. It features high hot strength, low open porosity, strong resistance to slag penetration and good hydration resistance. The coal tar pitch fills the internal pores of doloma brick. During heating, the pitch decomposes and precipitates carbon, forming a dense protective barrier. It suppresses slag infiltration and slows down erosion. It is mainly used for ladle slag line and BOF lining positions. Doloma brick is sensitive to moisture, and the pitch impregnation also helps reduce hydration risk. Custom size and formula grades are available.
