Hot Repair Mix is sinterable refractory repair material designed for hot repair of high-temperature furnace linings. It can be formulated into magnesia, alumina-magnesia, MgO-C or high alumina grades. It features good sintering property at working temperature, high hot strength, strong adhesion to hot lining and good slag resistance. It is applied directly onto hot lining surface while the furnace is still at high temperature, without shutdown and cooling. It bonds tightly with the original refractory lining, fills pits and cracks, restrains further erosion and extends lining campaign life. Widely used for ladle, EAF, converter and tundish hot maintenance. Custom formula for different steelmaking furnaces is available.
