Converter Taphole Sleeve is shaped precast refractory component for basic oxygen furnace taphole. It is normally alumina-magnesia carbon or magnesia carbon based. It features high hot strength, excellent thermal shock resistance and strong slag penetration resistance. It is installed at the converter taphole to control stable steel flow during tapping. It withstands continuous scouring of high-temperature molten steel and slag. It guarantees smooth tapping flow and extends service life of taphole. Custom inner diameter, outer dimension and material grades are available.
