Description
Turbulence Inhibitor is precast refractory block installed at the tundish inlet zone. It is generally made of alumina-magnesia or alumina-spinel castable. It features high hot strength, good thermal shock resistance and excellent slag erosion resistance. When high-speed molten steel enters the tundish, it buffers the jet flow, suppresses violent turbulence, reduces surface slag entrapment and avoids exposed steel. It helps uniform flow field, improves inclusion floatation and enhances the cleanliness of molten steel. Custom inner cavity shape and size are available for different tundish configurations.
