Magnesia Dolomite Brick is fired basic refractory with dead-burned magnesia and sintered dolomite as main raw materials. It contains periclase and CaO-MgO phases. It features great resistance to high-basicity slag, good thermal shock stability and low tendency to form thick slag coating. A critical weakness: free calcium oxide inside is easy to hydrate when exposed to moisture, leading to brick cracking and powdering. Special waterproof packaging and dry storage are required. It is commonly applied in AOD converters, steel ladle slag lines, cement rotary kiln burning zones and non-ferrous smelting furnaces. Custom sizes and special shapes are available.
