Magnesia Alumina Brick is high-temperature fired from dead-burned magnesia plus alumina/bauxite fines. Magnesia-alumina spinel forms in the matrix during sintering, which greatly improves thermal shock stability compared with regular magnesia bricks. It retains good resistance to alkaline slag and high load softening temperature. It is a basic refractory and shall not directly contact acidic refractories at high temperature. Typical chemical range: MgO ≥80%, Al₂O₃ 5–10%. Main applications include steel ladle permanent lining, torpedo ladle, glass furnace regenerator, reverberatory furnace roof and non-ferrous smelting kilns. Standard sizes and custom special shapes are available.
